Free Job Search Sites

The internet is free, it's accessible and it's powerful. For all these reasons, it is an important component of your job search. But... relying exclusively on the internet to land a job has been proven to be the least successful technique that you could employ.

The reality is that only 4 to 10% of people find a job primarily through internet listings. The only method that is less effective is sitting home and doing nothing.

In Praise of the Internet

While relying on the internet alone for your job search is deadly, using the internet as a powerful tool in your well-rounded job search plan is essential.

The internet is an extraordinary tool to:
  • Access career assessments - to help you determine what you like and what skills you have.
  • Research - industries, companies, communities, career fields, and specific positions
  • Network - to reconnect with people you know or to meet new ones

How to Use the Internet

The many free job search sites on the internet can help you do all of the above. To save you some time, I have included my Top Ten List below. I hope you find them helpful.
